One of the most important things you need to consider when you get taxi from Los Angeles airport is the total quality assurance, along with it. Since it is more or less a 15-mile travel from the airport to downtown Los Angeles, a passenger would need to be on a public vehicle if ever he or she has nobody to pick him or her up.

There are several ways or vehicles a passenger can use to get out of the Los Angeles Airport. One can always travel by car rentals, train, busses, vans and shuttles, and of course by taxi. Taxicabs are usually located near every arrival levels of all terminals. However, the LAX airport has a list of licensed taxis who are only allowed to pick up passengers from the area. The rate from the airport to downtown LA usually falls between $40 and $50, exclusive of the tips for downtown routes.

The common rate for tips given to taxi drivers is 20%, but there would also be extra fees to be paid when you would want to go to some stops. When you book for a cab when you arrive at the LA airport, you will b asked if there are several stops you need to take along the way downtown. If there are additional or unplanned stops you want to take, the driver can decline about your request.
