About Tabs in YouTube
- After you log in to your YouTube account, click your username from near the top right of the page, and then click "My Videos" from the drop-down list. You'll then be taken to the "My Videos & Playlists" page, where you'll see several items listed along the left hand side of the page. These are the various "tabs" available through your YouTube account.
- The first two items listed along the left column are the "History" and "Uploaded." If you click the "History" tab, you'll be taken to a list of all the most recent videos you have watched while logged in to your YouTube account. This differs from the "Uploaded" tab, which shows, in order, all the videos you have uploaded to your YouTube account. Another tab you'll see listed is the "Purchased" tab. If you've paid to watch certain content, it will be listed under that tab.
- Several other features available in your tabs -- while somewhat similar -- are really quite different. One is the "Liked" tab, which shows all the videos for which you've clicked "like." This is a bit different from "Favorites," which lists all the videos you've selected as the best of the best. You'll also see a "Watch Later" tab, which is a place to save videos you found, but didn't have time to watch at that moment.
- The "Playlists" tab allows you to aggregate all the videos you want to watch into designated categories. To create playlists for various categories, click the "+New" button next to the "Playlists" tab, give your new playlist a name, and then click 'Create Playlist." You can assign videos you watch to your "Favorites," "Watch Later" or "Playlist" tabs by clicking "Add To" from under the video, and then select either "Watch Later," "Playlist" or "Favorites."
