Thanksgiving Biblical Crafts for Kids
- Give each child in your class a sheet of white construction paper. Each child should draw something he is thankful for. Add a Bible verse about being thankful, Psalms is a good place to look, add decorative edges and laminate so the drawn image won't be ruined if crumbs or water lands on it.
- Cut one-inch rings from empty paper towel or toilet paper cardboard tubes. These cardboard pieces will be the base for your napkin ring. Decorate the cardboard pieces with acorns, leaves and twigs for a festive look. Add a name to each napkin ring for whomever will be eating at Thanksgiving. Just like the Pilgrims were thankful, have each child write why she is thankful to have that person in her life.
- This craft is self explanatory. Make name tags for where everyone will be sitting. Underneath each name place a scripture or two from the Bible about being thankful. Leave enough room where guests can write something they are thankful for and read out loud around the dinner table.
- Decorate a Styrofoam wreath hoop with fall colors, leaves, acorns and twigs. Cut out leaves from construction paper and as each guest enters your home hand him a leaf. Make sure the leaves are in light colors like yellow and orange. After dinner have each guest write something she is thankful for and her favorite Bible verse on the leaf. Each person then takes turns reading his leaf out loud and with a stick pin places his leaf onto the premade wreath.
