How to Put a Digital Movie on a MicroSD Card
- 1). Slide the microSD card into the slot on the back of the microSD-to-SD card adapter. This type of adapter is shaped exactly like a Secure Digital (SD) card and is approximately the size of a postage stamp. Insert the microSD card with the metal contacts facing down.
- 2). Connect the SD card reader to your computer if you are using an external card reader. Most external card readers are designed to connect to a USB port. If your computer has an internal SD card reader, skip this step.
- 3). Slide the microSD-to-SD card adapter into the card reader slot with the metal contacts on the adapter facing down. Push the card gently into the reader until it stops moving; some readers make a "clicking" sound when the card is inserted properly. Upon insertion, Windows will detect the microSD card and assigns it a drive letter.
- 4). Open the "Start" menu and select the "Computer" icon on the menu.
- 5). Double-click the icon for the microSD card. Windows will display this icon under the "Devices with Removable Storage" category. If the microSD card currently stores any files, those files will be displayed in the window.
- 6). Drag the digital movie or other file into the open microSD card window. If the file is large, Windows will display a status bar. When the status bar is full, it will disappear, indicating that the file copy operation is complete.
