How to Check a Return UPS Tracking Number
- 1). Get a tracking number from the retailer or other merchant for your return package. Businesses that use UPS for returns will often issue a return label and provide a tracking number after UPS picks up the package from your home. To receive the tracking number, call the merchant or UPS.
- 2). Go to the UPS website and click the "Tracking" tab. Then select "Track Shipments."
- 3). Enter the tracking number and click the "Track" button.
- 4). Use the "Track by Reference" feature if you don't have the tracking number. Click the "Track by Reference" tab and enter information to track your return, such as the shipment date, the shipping account number or the shipping address. Click the "Track" button.
- 5). Track your return using email. Write an email message containing your tracking number and send it to TotalTrack@ups.com. UPS will respond by email with the appropriate tracking information.
