Humorous Halloween Costume Ideas for a Group

When Halloween's just around the corner and you're wondering what to wear to a costume party, think about your friends. They'll likely have the same dilemma. Combine your creative energies to come up with a theme for a humorous group costume. No matter what costume idea you decide on, Halloween's always more fun when you're with friends dressed in equally ridiculous costumes. - If you have a group with one girl and two guys, assemble the team to portray the beautiful Cinderella and her hideous stepsisters. The girl can dress up as Cinderella, while the men can put on some girly wigs, overdone makeup and ill-fitting dresses to be the stepsisters. If you have more than just three people in the group, add other characters from Cinderella: Prince Charming, the stepmother and the fairy godmother. Dress others as a pumpkin or a glass slipper to fit the group's dynamic.
- Relive one of the scariest moments in movie history by making fun of it through a group costume. For a trio, have one person dress as Regan, a second person dress as the priest and a third person dress up as a can of pea soup. Create the soup can costume by cutting out two large pieces of cardboard in the shape of a can; attach two pieces of rope to the two pieces of cardboard so the costume can rest on your shoulders. Paint the back and front of the can in green and write "Pea Soup" on the front.
- If you and your friends are fans of the "X-Files" television show, represent it through an assortment of costume pairings. The most popular aspect of the show was Mulder and Scully's uncovering of alien activity. Dress the group as Mulder, Scully and a group of stereotypically green aliens. Other characters include the cigarette-smoking man, the three Lone Gunmen, as well as creatures seen in the show such as demons, werewolves, vampires and hideous tapeworm-men. The wackier the costume, the better. Although the extra characters can vary, Mulder and Scully need to be part of the group so the X-Files theme makes sense.
