Wild Rice Soup (Crockpot) Recipe
Wild rice mix, vegetables, smoked turkey or chicken, and evaporated milk make a creamy soup in the crockpot.

Place onion, celery, carrots, wild rice, contents of seasoning packet, garlic, oregano, basil, and pepper in the base of the crockpot. Add chicken broth and give a good stir to mix things up. Cover and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours until wild rice is tender.
Whisk together evaporated milk and flour. Stir into soup. Cover and cook an additional 15 minutes, until thickened. Stir in peas, wine, and diced smoked turkey or chicken.
Cover and cook for 15 minutes.
Yield: 6 servings

- 2 stalks celery, diced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 1 box uncooked Uncle Ben's wild rice and long-grain rice mix, including seasoning packet

- 1-1/2 cups diced smoked turkey or rotisserie chicken
- 1 cup frozen green peas, thawed
- 2 Tablespoons red wine, optional

- Cook Time: 360 minutes
- Total Time: 370 minutes
