Have you ever used silly string? If you have, you know how fun it can be.
If not, you are in for a treat.
Silly string is a polymer based resin that is packed into aerosol cans and used for any number of occasions.
Originally, the military used it to detect booby traps for bombs.
They would spray it over an area and wait to see if the string broke, or if it was intact.
If it was broken, they knew that there was a bomb, if not, they knew it was safe because the string wasn't strong enough to trip the wires but yet still let them know if it was there.
Now, it is generally used for party fun.
Silly string is really popular among teens.
It can be used for birthday parties-especially surprise ones-or anniversaries, or weddings or carnivals.
Here is what you do:

• Spray silly string through a doorway or down a hall when the guest of honor arrives.
  This will surprise them even more than just hollering out a welcome, 'Surprise!'
• When the bride and groom are leaving, what better way to send them off on their honeymoon than spraying string all over them and making them take time to pull it all off.
  (It can be fun!)
• How much string is in a can? Usually over 400 ft.

  Instant party!
• Mild revenge tool.
  Spraying someone's room can be a great way to get back at someone in a fun and playful way.
  Read the label to be sure of the precautions, of course.
  
• Silly string comes in a kaleidoscope of colors.
  There is a color to fit every occasion, even black.
  
• Sometimes crepe streamers are just not enough.
  You need more.
  These are moving streamers that are much more fun.
  
• You can tie your shoes with them in an emergency.
  No, really.
  
• You can tie a little bit of it around your finger, (not tightly, have some common sense) to help you remember important dates or things.
  
• It is literally impossible to be sad when there is silly string around.
  You just can't do it.
  It automatically improves the mood.
  So, just spray a little around your room when you are alone and need a little pick-me-up.
  
• Silly string is a great way to break the ice.
  If you are nervous about someone, or the air is tense, spray a little around, it's a guaranteed tension easier.
  
• Use your imagination to send those blobs of goo everywhere.
  They just peel right off, so, no worries.
  

So you see, everybody can use a can of silly string.
The best thing to do is get back to your inner care-free side, let loose, and have fun! We all need that once in a while.
