History

• The TurboCAD line was first developed in the 1980s. It was distributed in the United States by Milan Systems. TurboCAD began to provide three-dimensional (3-D) features in the mid-1990s and later included photo-realistic rendering and pre-made plans. Version 14 was released in 2007.
  
  

Types

• Although TurboCAD Deluxe 14 is an outdated version of the TurboCAD Deluxe line, there are many tutorials online including step-by-step instructions for explicit tasks and plans and video explanations of features. The software itself also comes with interactive tutorials included.
  
  

Considerations

• As many of the functions in the modern version are the same as earlier versions including Deluxe 14, it may be useful to look into tutorials for the latest version or one of the guides. If you are are not familiar with CAD programs or drafting in general, a more advanced method of training such as a class may prove more useful.
