How to Make a Box With a Cricut Machine
- 1). Load the cartridge into your Cricut Expression and place the keypad overlay on the keypad. Turn on the machine.
- 2). Line up a piece of card stock on the bottom left hand corner of your cutting mat and press it down, rubbing over the top of the paper to secure it to your mat. Line up your mat at the opening of the machine and press the "Load Paper" button.
- 3). Move the blade to the top right hand corner of your piece of paper, using the directional buttons, if you aren't using a piece of paper as large as your cutting mat.
- 4). Select your "Fit to Page" button to make the box as large as your piece of paper, or select a size with your size dial. Set your pressure, speed and blade all to 5. Select the blackout option on your keypad.
- 5). Click on the button in the fourth row and eighth column of the white keys of the keypad. Click "Cut."
- 6). Wait for the Cricut to finish cutting out your box and then click the "Unload Paper" button.
- 7). Remove the cutting mat from the machine and peel the cut out box from the mat.
- 8). Line the score marks of your cut out box with the scoring blade in your paper cutter and run the scoring blade along the top of the paper. Make sure that you score everywhere that the Cricut has made a score mark; there are eight lines to score in all.
- 9). Fold the box along the score lines. Lay the box in front of you lengthwise so that the folds that you made are folded toward the floor. Place a strip of double-sided tape along the tab at the end of the whole box cut out. Fold the four sides of the box and attach that tab to the other end so that you now have the four walls of your box.

Fold the top and the bottom of the box closed and you are done.
