Accessing a Single File

Double-click the Zip folder file to open it. The folder window opens to show its contents.

Click on the file to select it.

Drag the file to a new location such as the desktop. A copy of the file is expanded to the new location while the original remains in the Zip folder.

Accessing All the Files

Double-click the Zip folder file to open it. The folder window opens to show its contents.

Click "Extract All Files" under "Folder Tasks" on the left side of the window. The "Extraction Wizard" dialog box appears.

Click the "Next" button to select a destination for the accessed files.

Click the "Browse" button to display the "Select a Destination" dialog box.

Navigate to the folder for the extracted files. If needed, click the "Make New Folder" button to create a new folder.

Click the "OK button" to close the dialog box.

Click the "Next" button to extract the files. The "Extraction Complete" dialog box appears when all the files are extracted.

Click the "Finish" button. If the "Show All Files" check box is enabled, the folder containing the extracted files opens so you can verify the extraction.
