    • 1). Make a collage from pictures of campers. Have someone take pictures of campers when they aren't looking. Try to get a picture of each camper. Have pictures taken of staff members as well. Arrange the pictures until you form a pleasing pattern. Glue the pictures to the back of a sheet of oak tag. Staple the edges of the sheet of oak tag with a decorative boarder in a contrasting color. Hang the collage on a wall where the campers can see it. Provide a space on the side of the collage where campers can add funny comments and choose their favorite picture.

    • 2). Hang garlands of crepe paper to the walls. Braid strips of crepe paper in three contrasting colors. Choose colors that are symbolic of the camp. Tie the ends together neatly. Tape the crepe to the walls where the party is being held.

    • 3). Decorate the tables where refreshments will be served. The party should have food to snack on and something for campers to drink. Carve out a picture of the camp's mascot from a large watermelon or cantaloupe. Set greenery from the setting on top of the table such as flowers and tree branches to bring the outdoors in. Set food on plates in different colors.

    • 4). Use lighting effectively. If you are holding the party at night, create a festive atmosphere with candles on each table. Add small Japanese lanterns to the ceiling and the front of the party door so that campers can see where to go. Line the walkway to the party with small lights set in the ground.

    • 5). Use kid's artwork. Ask campers to create individual art pieces such as drawings, photographs and paintings. Use the drawings as placements to indicate where the kids should sit during the party. String yarn across the ceiling of the room. Use paperclips to attach the artwork to the string. Make sure that each kid has their own individual drawing represented at the party.
