How to Find Used Auto Parts Online
- 1). Determine the make, model, and name of the part for which you are searching. Use exact phrases to limit the results. If needed, use quotation marks (") around the search words to receive records which display all of the search words.
- 2). Determine the specifications of the used auto part. Use the plus sign (+) to include the specifications after the name of the part. Every car is different. A part that works for a Lincoln Towncar may not work for a Dodge Neon.
- 3). Complete searches using both search engines, Google and Yahoo. Make sure to also include your city. For instance, use ("Dodge Ram" and "ball joints"+ left in Dallas, TX) to search for left ball joints for a Dodge Ram.
- 4). Filter the results by clicking the "Show options" button. Filter the results by date, type, and other factors to get to the best match.
- 5). Make note of the best five results from both search engines. Use notes to contact vendors.
