How to Make a Roman Emperor Leaf Crown
- 1). Measure the head circumference for the needed size of the crown. Add 3 inches to the length. Cut the wire. Loop the wire into a circle. Overlap the wire by 1 1/2 inches, and wrap the wire ends around each other to secure.
- 2). Pick up two leaves and hold them evenly in one hand. Twist the wires together with the other hand. Lay the wire stems of the leaves next to the circle or wire ring. Wrap the leaves' wires around the ring of wire.
- 3). Pick up two new leaves and twist the stems together in the same manner as the first two. Place the leaves onto the wire ring, slightly overlapping with the last set of leaves. Wrap the wires around the ring. Continue adding sets of leaves until the leaves cover the whole circumference of the wire ring or crown.
- 4). Wrap the wire ring tightly with the floral tape, covering all of the wires and securing them into place. Arrange each set of the leaves into a V-shape.
