How to Convert a ZIP Drive Folder
- 1). Insert the Zip disk into the Zip disk drive. A light on the drive appears, signifying it has detected a new disk.
- 2). Click "Start," (My) "Computer" and double-click the Zip drive icon. A window appears on the screen with all the files currently stored on the disk.
- 3). Locate the folder you want to convert from the Zip drive to the hard drive. Leave the window open for the time being.
- 4). Open the folder or location on the computer you want to convert the Zip folder to (this can be the desktop, "My Documents," or any other location on the drive). If you're copying files to the desktop, no additional selections are required. If you are moving files to "My Documents," double-click the "My Documents" folder to open the window. "(However, these are just two suggestions; the desired conversion location may vary depending on your preference.)
- 5). Click-and-drag the folder from the Zip drive directly to the location on the computer. Once the copying has completely finished, close the open windows and press the "Eject" button on the Zip drive to eject the Zip disk.
