    Turkey Bay OHV Area

    • The Turkey Bay OHV Area, the designated off-highway-vehicle area in Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, is 45 miles south of Dycusburg in Golden Pond. Turkey Bay has more than 100 miles of trails, featuring ridges, valleys and mud bogs. Camping is allowed, and services include chemical toilets, unloading ramps and drinking water. Turkey Bay also includes Turkey Trot, a fenced, half-mile learning trail where kids can practice their skills on obstacles like small logs, rocks and sharp turns. Permits to ride in the Turkey Bay OHV area cost $15 and are good for three days.

    Red's T and T Mud Bogg

    • The motto of Red's T and T Mud Bogg, 70 miles northeast of Dycusburg in Central City, is "Where the big boys are kids, and the kids act like big boys." Red's has mud bogging competitions for three types of vehicles. Bog entry fees are $20 for truck drivers, $10 for ATVs and $3 for lawn tractors. Spectator admission is $7 for adults and $3 for children ages five to 10. Drivers must wear helmets and seat belts. Open top vehicles must be equipped with roll bars. Fire extinguishers are recommended.

    Kentucky Backwoods Outfitters

    • Kentucky Backwoods Outfitters is located in Falls of Rough, 120 miles northeast of Dycusburg, 90 miles west of Louisville and three miles south of Rough River State Park. The site offers 20 miles of one-way ATV trails, a mud pit, hills, and playgrounds. The complex features scenic views, as well as a 6000 square foot lodge that will accommodate up to 20 people. The lodge has four private bedrooms and a loft. Admission to Kentucky Backwoods Outfitters is $15 per ATV.

    Royal Farms and ATV Trails

    • Royal Farms and ATV Trails is a working farm in Clarkson,120 miles northeast of Dycusburg. The complex features 500 acres of maintained deep woods trails that riders can enjoy 365 days a year. The facility is open dawn to dusk and features mud bogs, two grass drag strips and a motocross track with jumps. Helmets are required. The operators of Royal Farms periodically add additional trails and obstacles. Admission is $15 on weekdays and $25 on weekends. Camping is free.
