Summer Activities For Moms and Sons
One thing that boys absolutely love to do is play video games.
Mothers might not enjoy or even condone this, but if they want to spend time with their sons during the summer holidays they need to be able to cope with playing these games with them, even if they aren't very good.
The reason for this is that whilst playing, boys and men alike will talk with other players, forming bonds and relationships like girls and women do as they actually talk to each other.
Men and boys always need to be doing something if they're to open up, and video games are sadly one activity they love to do.
To get sons out of the house, mothers could look for the nearest park and take them there to play a sport with them.
By getting their sons' friends to come too, they can create a great day out in which they get to spend time with their sons and their friends who they may never have met before.
This activity is also great for encouraging children to be fit and healthy instead of sitting inside all day.
Mothers and sons could work together throughout the summer to build something together.
This is usually something that dads do, but there's no reason a mum can't take an interest and help her son build something.
Guitars are surprisingly easy to make with the right knowledge, and this can be found in books everywhere.
Building a guitar with your son will not only give you time to spend with him, but it will also result in an instrument you could take up learning together.
Setting yourselves a goal as a unit, mother and son, to get fit and healthy is also a great summer activity.
This means that you both get to go out loads during the week, exercising at regular points to get fitter.
This is something which could go on to be a project for the two of you outside of the summer holidays, as keeping fit is a lifelong battle that needs to be fought every day.
By working on this together you can monitor what you eat together, telling each other off if you're about to eat something you've told yourself you can't.
You can also motivate each other to get up early each morning and go for a run or lift weights, and go on for longer when you're trying to increase your endurance.
