Often time, simply cleaning up ones diet is the easiest way to start getting in shape.
The next step would be to start eating less.
But not too little.
Be sure that you're getting enough food to provide your body with enough energy for your daily tasks.
Starving yourself is not something you would like to do if you want consistent and permanent fat loss.
Those that want to know how to drop weight fast should realize that fat loss is like a race.
You could start off fast but you may burn out.
It is better to be like the turtle.
Start slow and add more and more changes to your diet while you continue.
