George Jones: 50 years of Hits

Following Vince was his lovely wife, Amy Grant, dressed in a black pin-strip suit with a candy apple red shirt. (how cute- They've been married so long they've actually started dressing like each other). Amy performed a soulful rendition of "Bartender's Blues".

Well I thought it was a soulful rendition until Aaron Nevell took the stage next and bombarded the audience with a wonderful performance of "The Grand Tour".

Wow, his voice is just incredible and soulful. Aaron, adorn by tattoos, was wearing worn jeans n vest with a muscle shirt beneath. Did I say WOW?

Up next was one of Nashville's and country Music's few second generation successes, the talented Lori Morgan. Wearing a gorgeous sequined pastel yellow spaghetti strapped handkerchief blouse and faded jeans, Lori performed "A Picture of me without you".

The final performer of the evening, and in my opinion one of the best of the night, was Sammy Kershaw. Every time I've seen Sammy on stage he seems to have the unique ability to not only bond with an audience but actually become a part of it. His casual style and friendliness makes you really forget that he's actually up on a stage working. After joking around a bit Sammy, wearing faded jeans and T-shirt, sang an incredible version of "Your still on my mind". I'll have to give Sammy the "Best Footwear of the evening award" -he was wearing some real cool boots.

Keith Bilbery came out and thanked everyone for coming to help George Jones celebrate his 50 years in Country Music and reminded all about the second taping which is scheduled to include:
Kris Kristofferson, Tanya Tucker, Connie Smith, Emmylou Harris, Shelby Lynne, Joe Diffie, Harry Connick Jr., Trick Pony, Martina McBride, Wynonna, and Merle Haggard.

Even if you don't have tickets you might want to show up and ask to see if you can get in because there's always a "No-Show" or two, but not George Jones-Anymore.
