Why Women Entrepreneurs Don’T Fit Into A Box
As a woman, we have so many identities, wife, mother, daughter, entrepreneur, sister, creative thinker, supporter, nurturer, motivator, and tons of different things to different people. One thing that would also describe us is that we are a, €little different€ or that we live €out of the box.€ Honestly I love that we have such variety in our lives and that we are a little, €out of the box.€
Sound a little weird huh?
Well maybe but most women entrepreneurs are the same. One of the challenges of women entrepreneurs is embracing their uniqueness.
How about you, do you feel like you're a little different then other woman or a little out of the box?
Well it's true; women entrepreneurs don't fit into a box.
Some people really know who they are. They know where they will be this time next year and they have a clear idea of exactly what there identity is and it doesn't change. They live essentially the same day over and over and they find comfort in their routine.
But for most women entrepreneurs, our identity is constantly evolving. We are not exactly sure of where we will be next year or what new opportunities will show up in our lives. Don't get me wrong we have goals and dreams, but they are constantly growing and expanding as we grow and expand. This constant change can leave us feeling a little less, €secure.€
Women entrepreneurs are by nature women that are constantly looking for new challenges and love to grow and change. But that doesn't mean that it's easy or that we never fail. What we do know is that we are continually changing and evolving and doing our best to embrace and step into growth and the fear that commonly comes with it.
We have found that women entrepreneurs as they grow stronger, and become more empowered, they also become a more unique person that just doesn't fit into any box or mold.
Sometimes I think life would be easier if we did fit into a box or were content with life €as it is€. But the feeling of wanting to do more, be more and our wish to leave the world a better place constantly nags at our gut.
The life we as women entrepreneurs are creating is so much more, so much richer and fuller. The life we are creating is filled with freedom, adventure, growth, happiness and love.
What type of life are you creating? What would you like to be part of? What legacy would you like to leave?
We don't know where we will be at the end of our journey. To be completely honest some of the things that we are saying, €yes€ to this year, last year seemed impossible.
