AboutCountry: Are there any pranksters in the group? If so, what has been the best prank pulled on another group member?

Phillip Sweet: We all like to kid around with each other on the bus but Jimi is the true "class clown" so to speak. It's hard to remember them all, but one time Jimi hid our bass player's guitar from him 'til minutes before we went on stage. He got the bass just in time and the show went on.

We have a great vibe, we love to have fun and never take ourselves too seriously. Jimi always reminds us of that and it keeps the atmosphere light and fun.

AboutCountry: Would you ever consider releasing a Christmas CD?

Karen Fairchild: We would love to do a Christmas CD eventually. It feels like something we should do down the road though. When you make a Christmas record, you really want it to stand the test of time, therefore you have to take your time making it. We all have a love for that music, so I would say at some point a Christmas release would make sense.

AboutCountry: What do you think is the one thing that fans would be surprised to hear about you?

Karen Fairchild: The only thing I can think of is that I am not crazy about heights or driving over very tall bridges, although I do sleep in a top bunk on the bus. I think I cried one time visiting Lookout Mountain when I was little.

AboutCountry: What's the best advice or words of wisdom you've received in regards to your career, and who gave you that advice?

Karen Fairchild: I would say Lindsey Buckingham talking about the dynamic of Fleetwood Mac personally, and then strongly advising our group to stick to one couple, was pretty dang funny. He didn't advise Kimberly and Phillip becoming a couple too.

AboutCountry: Out of the headliners you've opened for already, do you have a favorite?

Jimi Westbrook: We have absolutely loved opening for them all. We have had the opportunity to share the stage with Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, John Mellencamp and Alan Jackson this year. We have tried to learn from each of them. Each has their own unique way of connecting with a crowd.

AboutCountry: What inspired you to form Little Big Town?

Kimberly Roads: Karen and I went to college together. We sang together in a couple of groups and were great friends. We both moved to Nashville - Karen got here about 6 months before me - and we were doing our own things trying to break into the business. One day on one of our lunch dates, we started brainstorming about doing something together. We knew we didn't want to do an all-girls band because the Dixie Chicks had just come on the scene. We also knew there had never been a two-guy/two-girl group in country music, so we thought that would be a fun endeavor. We set out to find the boys, which took a very long time. After a year or so of searching, we started singing with Jimi. Karen and Jimi were friends from a few years back. Then about 6 months later we met Phillip through a mutual songwriter friend and began singing together in my living room. That was almost 8 years ago.

AboutCountry: What would you like to say to all the fans on our site reading this interview?

Jimi Westbrook: I would just like to let them know that we genuinely feel blessed to be a part of such a great format. Country music has the best fans in the world. They are devoted and faithful followers of the music they love, and we love them for it! We wouldn't be here without them.
