How to Type in Street Names in a Garmin Nuvi
- 1). Touch the "Where to" option on your Garmin nuvi using just your fingertip. Make sure your fingers are clean and dry.
- 2). Use your fingertip to touch the "Address" option from the next screen you see.
- 3). Type in the name of the city where the particular street is located. To type, press each letter separately from the on-screen keypad using your fingertip. When a list appears, choose the correct city and state by touching the option.
- 4). Touch each letter that corresponds with the street name when this option appears on the screen. After several letters, a list of street name options will appear, as did the city and state options. Touch the correct street name from the screen. Type in the street number in the same way, and you can continue to the address by touching "Done" and "Go."
