Radio Options in a 2007 Ford Taurus
- The Ford Motor Company equipped its 2007 line of Taurus vehicles with three different types of radios: one that played cassettes, one that played CDs and another with a CD changer. For all three options, the radio tuner is identical, with two FM bands, an AM band and the ability to program your favorite stations with a preset feature.
- The AM/FM stereo in a 2007 Ford Taurus is equipped with the MACH speaker system, which features multiple speakers for advanced sound capabilities. The tape player is equipped with Dolby noise reduction, which is designed to eliminate popping and hissing noises from tapes. The stereo has station presets to keep track of favorite stations, one AM band and two FM bands.
- The CD player installed in the 2007 Taurus has a shuffle feature to vary the order of tracks. When a CD is inserted, pressing the scan button will play a short segment of all the tracks on the CD. Another feature on this single-disc player is the compression feature, which blends soft and and loud passages into a more consistent listening level.
- The CD changer option is similar to the single-disc player. The CD changer has the ability to toggle between the stereo and the multi-disc changer. In the 2007 Ford Taurus, the CD changer is located either in the vehicle's trunk or in the center console and has a magazine that can hold up to six CDs.
