    Cotton Cotton Candy Craft

    • This is a popular craft for kids to make. The first thing to do is to dye your cotton roll; squeeze the desired food coloring onto a plate and gently dip unrolled cotton into the dye. Squeeze the excess dye and lay the cotton flat on a piece of wax paper. The next part of the craft is the cone. Cut a 12-inch circle out of some white poster board and mark the center of the circle with a pencil, make a cut from the edge of the plate to the center point allowing you to be able to roll it into a cone and tape in place. After the cotton roll is dry pull apart slightly with your fingers to fluff the cotton. Stick one end of the cotton roll down into the cone and wrap the rest of the cotton up around itself creating the cotton candy puff. You have a realistic looking cotton candy treat.

    Shaving Cream Cotton Candy

    • This craft is a fun way to make something that looks like it's right from the circus, but it's actually right from your medicine cabinet. Spray an inch of shaving cream into the bottom of a baking pan and add a few drops of blue or pink food coloring. Use a paintbrush or cotton swab to pull through the cream, creating ribbons of color. Swirl the paintbrush around the colored cream and paint in a circular motion on a paper plate. Once the whole paper plate has been covered let it dry for several hours, the shaving cream will dry with texture creating the look of soft cotton candy. Cut a curvy line around the paper plate to make the shape of cotton candy. Roll a piece of white paper on a diagonal until it forms a cone and tape in place, press down flattening the cone. Tape the cotton candy plate on top of the flat cone.

    Homemade Cotton Candy Party Favors

    • Cotton candy party favors are fun treats to send kids home with after a birthday party or any type of event. To make homemade party favors, place some pre-made cotton candy in child sized portions into clear plastic bags. Decorate the cotton candy with edible sprinkles or glitter. Find some pretty ribbon and tie up the bags with a bow, add the name of each child on a decorated name tag and tie to the ribbon.

    Kid's Cotton Candy Costume Craft

    • This is an easy way to craft your child a Halloween costume. Dress your child in a white sweat suit and white shoes. Purchase about four yards of pink or blue tulle. Loosely wrap the tulle around your child from the waist to over their head, being careful to avoid his or her face, to create the cotton candy puff. Secure the tulle to the sweat suit in a few places to make sure the costume stays together.
