You should have known online dating seemed too good to be true! The problem with online dating is that it is hard to begin a relationship wearing a blind fold! You also have to trust total strangers.

The local bar and grill may offer you 5-10 on a good night.
You still do not know if these 5-10 are telling you the truth! The only thing you can be "sure" of face-to-face is their appearance.

But when you meet someone online, they expect to be grilled to a certain degree.

The other problem with online dating is you can never be sure they are not married with 6 children.
If you meet someone locally, it would be really bold for them to say they are single with no children, knowing there is a good chance they my run into at the mall, the bank, the gas station, etc.
(But, some are dare devils and will try it anyway!) So, when it comes to online dating, be responsible for getting the answers you want and need.
