How to Winterize a Pressure Washer Pump
- 1). Disconnect and tie up all water connection pipes. Be careful not to add any kinks when you roll up the piping.
- 2). Start the pressure washer as normal without a water connection. Spray the nozzle for a few seconds until the water stops flowing.
- 3). Quickly turn off the pressure washer to avoid damaging the internal parts.
- 4). Disconnect the spray nozzle, if necessary, and wrap it up with the water hoses.
- 5). Store the pressure washer in a place that stays above freezing during the winter. Garden sheds or garages may not be suitable if your area experiences severe winters.
