How to Keep Fingerprints Off Stainless Steel
- 1). Soak a washcloth in warm water. Wring out excess water and wipe the surface of the stainless steel. Dry the surface with a microfiber towel so water spots do not form.
- 2). Add two to three drops of liquid dish soap to 1 pint of warm water in a bowl. Soak a washcloth in the soapy water and wring it out so that the washcloth remains just damp. Wipe the surface of the stainless-steel appliance to remove stubborn fingerprints. Rinse the surface with clean water and dry it with a microfiber towel.
- 3). Spray the surface of the stainless steel with a commercial glass cleaner. Wipe the cleaner off with a washcloth and rinse the appliance thoroughly with cool water. Dry the appliance with a microfiber towel.
- 4). Pour undiluted white distilled vinegar into a spray bottle. Spray the surface of the stainless steel and wipe it down with a damp washcloth.
- 5). Polish the surface with a stainless-steel cleaner. Follow the directions on the cleaner carefully to apply it properly. Cleaners will help to protect the surface of the appliance and keep it in good condition. If you do not have a stainless-steel cleaner, dampen a washcloth lightly with baby oil. Wipe the stainless steel in small gentle circles with a microfiber washcloth.
