How to Fix a Squeaky Dashboard in a 2007 Honda Accord
- 1). Remove the center dash trim piece (the bezel) surrounding the radio or stereo system using the trim removal tool. Wedge the teeth of the tool underneath the bezel and pry up on the bezel to remove it. This same process can be used to remove all of the trim on the dashboard and the dashboard itself.
- 2). Remove all of the screws holding the dash in place. Remove the screws underneath the driver and passenger side kick panels. Remove the screw bolts holding the ends of the dash in place. Have the passenger and driver side doors open to remove these as they are located on the ends of the dash behind the doors. Remove the defrost grille with a trim removal tool and remove the screws holding the dash in place.
- 3). Pry the dash free with the trim removal tool. Start on the driver's side of the vehicle and work your way around the dashboard.
- 4). Pull the dash forward.
- 5). Clean the mating surface of the dash with soap and water and dry it with a cotton towel.
- 6). Apply a bead of silicone to the mating surface of the dashboard.
- 7). Reset the dashboard and tighten all of the screws and screw bolts.
