Making Resin Sculptures
- 1). Carve a sculpture with wax, form a sculpture from polymer clay or otherwise make a sculpture from your choice of material.
- 2). Make a silicone mold of the sculpture using a two-part cold molding compound. Be sure to mix exactly according to the mold manufacturer's instructions. You may need to make a two-part mold depending on the shape and size of the sculpture.
- 3). Mix the two-part resin according to the resin manufacturer's instructions. Again, measure exactly and mix carefully.
- 4). Pour the mixed resin into the mold. Pour slowly to avoid bubbles forming in the resin. Allow the resin to cure.
- 5). Remove the cured resin sculpture from the mold.
