Breaking Out! Remembering back to a time in my life when I was asked by a perfect stranger for some extra change, I recall, without hesitation, spurting out the word NO, turning the other way and stammering off feeling as though I justgot away from a crime scene.
You see, the words "Extra change" to me at that age, meant 'don't talk to strangers, or 'always be aware of what your not aware of'.
I believe it was a scare tactic, installed by my parents for good reasoning.
I was the kind of child that would make friends very easily without being aware of bad seeds that crept up like spiders in the attic.
It wasn't until I earned my first dollar raking leaves that I began to understand the meaning of what was referred to back then as my "allowance.
" MULA, in lay-mans terms.
Hard earned denero is what encouraged and formed my work habits from early on in my life, but doing with it what I pleased was another story.
I would of loved to give away money to someone who was less fortunate and asking me to help them.
Money for me had no meaning until I was able to give it away.
It became my best friend and my worst enemy.
In North America, 80% of people either know someone, or are that someone, who have made imperfect life decisions concerning or dealing with 'man-made' money.
My countless working hours I intended to create freedom with, had brought me into financial despair because I didn't know how to deal with the money I was earning.
I allowed myself to be swayed by the now, instead of the later.
Doing the same thing day in and day outstarted to wear on my heart and I clearly began to see no sign of getting ahead.
I got up and went to work because I had too, not because I longed too.
My sought out career had started to take a back seatto my job and both of them were the same occupation.
I started to spend more money than I was earning and it began to weigh heavily across my chest and shoulders.
How would I pay off these loans? How can I work harder to pay them off? That feeling of being trapped inside your own financial decisions is a very helpless thought sometimes, but it's reality.
When I discovered that man-made money can actually work for me, my picture of life become less blotchy.
Big 'MO", or momentum began to ignite inside of me.
Sunlight shawn it's face deep within my personal crater of dept.
And I began to start digging myself a goal instead of a hole.
Life is full of lessons, some free, others very expensive.
For me, it took a very long time to uncover the tip of the 'money-berg' but it was well worth the wait.
