How To - Time Management

103 267
When I started the network marketing business, I was a mess! My house was a mess, my business wasn't functioning, and I was completely stressed out.
The only thing that I was good at was mothering my two beautiful children.
It took me time and patience with myself before I started to really understand what was going on.
I needed to manage my time better.
Now I know the reason I had to go through all of that chaos.
It is so I can write to you today and teach you the how to of time management.
I have learned several different ways to manage my time.
I would change the tools I used based on what worked best for me at the time.
Even though the tool vary their are some basics you need to follow: Prioritize your duties.
What needs to be done first, what can wait? My babies diapers need to be changed first.
I put off working until they are sleeping, thus they are always my first priority.
Once they are down, I prioritize what business needs are a necessity.
Sometimes I get distracted when they are asleep.
So I have someway of reminding myself of what needs to be done.
Personally, I make a list.
Top five things I must accomplish for my business during nap time.
If it does not involve the phone, I turn it off.
I put some calming music on to help me focus and let the creative juices flow.
Are there several things you need to do regularly? Check voicemail, email, write articles.
Then write down a routine on a post-it where you can see it first thing in the morning or on your computer.
Now, when I have several items that all need taken care of, I use my timer.
I set it for 15 minutes and work each task as diligently as possible.
If I need to do housework, I do the same thing.
It's amazing how fast your housework can get done when you focus for just 15 minutes.
Same with your business.
Allot certain times for all your tasks and STICK WITH IT! Do not get distracted (unless it's your children), do not dally and set your timer.
The faster you get your work done, the more time you have to play! Implement some of these tools and I guarantee you will be working your business with a clear head.
