Homemade Fun Dough With Cream of Tartar
- 1). Place water, vegetable oil and cream of tartar in a saucepan. A few drops of food coloring can also be added if desired.
- 2). Heat the mixture on the stove and bring just to a boil, stirring occasionally.
- 3). Remove from heat and pour in 1/2 cup of salt. Stir with a wooden spoon until it dissolves.
- 4). Pour the contents of the saucepan into a heatproof mixing bowl and let cool.
- 5). Add flour and mix with the wooden spoon until it congeals and thickens.
- 6). Remove the dough from the bowl and gently knead on a lightly floured counter until smooth.
- 7). Add glitter if desired and knead to incorporate for a colorful dough that sparkles.
