How to Make a Birthday Money Tree
- 1). Place a small flower pot on top of a few sheets of newspaper. The newspaper will protect your workspace area.
- 2). Paint the flower pot. You can use the birthday girl's favorite color, or just paint the birthday girl's name on the flower pot. Set the flower pot aside to dry.
- 3). Gather approximately three pine branches from a nearby pine tree. If you don't have any you can purchase some artificial pine branches from a craft store. Select pine branches that appear more full.
- 4). Spray your pine branches with either silver or gold spray paint. Make sure you hold them by the branch and twirl them around so that you coat all of the needles. Do this step outdoors to prevent a mess. Set the pine tree branches aside to dry.
- 5). Trim your floral foam to fit inside the flower pot if it is a little big.
- 6). Press the pine tree branches down into the floral foam. Make sure they go deep enough that they won't tip over when you add the cash.
- 7). Roll up your dollar bills from left to right so that they look like a scroll. Tie them to the pine tree branches one at a time with a piece of ribbon.
