Matt Damon stars in this action thriller directed by Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum). The story is set in 2003, shortly after the US-led invasion of Iraq. The main character is Roy Miller (Damon), a US Army warrant officer in charge of a unit tasked with securing sites supposed to contain weapons of mass destruction (WMD).

Miller's men are put in danger, yet no WMD are being found, and he sets out to uncover what is going on. Other characters include a bureaucrat (Greg Kinnear), a CIA agent (Brendan Gleeson) and a news reporter (Amy Ryan).
