You'll find no shortage of recreational activities and attractions inside Northern California’s many campgrounds. - The Westport Beach/North Mendocino Coast KOA campground is in Westport, on the Mendocino Coast. The campground features its own private beach, on which campground guests can swim, surf or boogie-board. The beach also serves as an ideal area for a game of Frisbee or football, building sand castles, sunbathing or playing volleyball. Guests can fish at Wages Creek, which flows through part of the facility. The campground is near Fort Bragg, Glass Beach, Ten Mile River, Howard Creek Ranch and Westport-Union Landing State Beach. The campground features a horseshoe pit, shuffleboard courts, boogie board- and surfboard-rental service, bicycle-rental service, nature trails, fish-cleaning station, playground and DVD-rental service. The camping resort has 75 RV and tent campsites, some of which are located on the beach and the banks of Wages Creek. The campsites have picnic tables and grills. The RV sites have water, sewer and electrical connections. Guests can also stay in the facility’s cabins. On weekends, the campground hosts planned activities such as ice cream social nights.

The campground sits near Eel Creek, Bear River Casino, Loleta Cheese Factory, Patrick’s Point State Park and the Avenue of the Giants. The park's Fortuna campground has 107 RV and tent campsites, many of which have full hookups. Some of the campsites have long-term stay options, cable TV and wireless Internet access. The campground rents log cabins, which feature porches with chair swings, picnic tables and sleeping space for four to six people. Guests can play ping pong, pool, basketball, horseshoes, go swimming, relax in the hot tub or take a hike on the park's nature trails. Other amenities include a rec room with kitchen, convenience store with supplies and wine, shuttle service to Bear River Casino, playground and a pavilion area with picnic tables.

At the campground, you can go fishing in Kelseyville Creek, which runs through a portion of the facility. You can also play miniature golf, go hiking on nature trails, take a pedal boat or rowboat ride, play horseshoes and go swimming in an outdoor swimming pool--all within the resort area. Other amenities include a children’s playground, outdoor movie viewing area, rec room, playground, convenience store with groceries and supplies, pavilion with picnic tables and an outdoor stage for live entertainment. The resort offers planned activities such as toy-bear-making sessions, group barbecues, miniature golf contests, crafts activities, hayrides and movie nights. The campground has 109 sites for RV and tent camping. The RV sites feature full hookups. The facility’s tent campsites have fire pits and picnic tables.
