- A popular field trip destination for Dayton elementary school students is the National Museum of the United States Air Force. With an IMAX theater on the property, this museum is ideal for anyone who has a fancy to fly. The Air Force Museum features exhibits and planes from the creation of piloted flight to modern jetliners. While most exhibits are behind glass or hanging in the air, there are several exhibits that allow kids to climb right into the pilot's seat.
