Travel to Washington, DC with Wireless Internet Service

Washington, DC, as the nation's capital, is one of the top tourist destinations for Americans. The capital has a variety of fascinating and fun attractions, as well as great nightlife and shopping everyone will enjoy. There are certainly some frustrating things about visiting Washington, though. Wireless Internet service, however, can make all of these issues easier to deal with.

Washington's prime tourist attraction is certainly the National Mall. Along the Mall's length are most all of the monuments most visitors are interested in seeing, including the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, and the U.S. Capitol building. Additionally, the vast majority of the Smithsonian museums, including Air and Space and Natural History, are also located on the Mall.

The issue with the Mall is that despite the high number of tourist attractions located there, the Mall is really an inhospitable place for many tourist activities from any reasonably standard. There are few amenities, including restrooms, that don't involve a long wait in line at one of the attractions, and reasonably priced, halfway decent eating options are few and far between. Additionally, the Mall is surprisingly treeless, which can make Washington's shockingly nasty summer days even more unbearable. For this reasons, many Washington locals are vehemently opposed to the idea of spending €a day at the Mall€ like many tourists do. You might want to take a lesson from them and make multiple trips to the Mall during your visit to DC instead of hoping to get everything done on the Mall in a day. If you do decide to try to take care of everything in one day at the Mall, try to use wireless Internet service to plan out your day as much as possible. There are various buses and shuttles around the Mall you can familiarize yourself with, and by researching the opening and closing hours of each museum, as well as their particular films and other attractions, you can hopefully make yourself a plan that helps you deal somewhat with the experience of visiting the Mall.

Speaking of transportation, Washington, DC features one wireless Internet application that few cities can boast of: its €NextBus€ application. Not even New York City has gone as far with bus technology as Washington; Washingtonians can enjoy that every bus in DC is fitted with a GPS device whose location is fed into the €NextBus€ application, which can give you the location of the nearest bus and the number of minutes it is expected to take to get to you. Since the bus is often the easiest way to arrive at some of the best locations for shopping and nightlife in Washington, DC, including Adams Morgan, Georgetown, and the €Atlas District€ located on H St. NE, this application can be extremely valuable in helping to make the most of your time in DC. And, on any bus in DC, you are likely to see junior politicos buried just as deep in their wireless service checking the news and gossip as you are checking the information that will help you enjoy the nation's capital.
