He consistently seeks to accomplish his objectives through lies and deception.

He enlists the patronage of popular/influential people to ensure the success of his plans.
What is the Devil's overall objective? To find out what Satan's overall objective is just look at the reason why he was cast out of heaven in the first place.
In the book of Isaiah is was said that while in heaven Satan was courting ambitions to be worshipped in the same way that the Son of God was worshipped.
He just could not accept the fact that God had ordained that His Son should be honoured in the same way that the Father is honoured (Jn 5:22, 23), and that Lucifer should be excluded from this privilege.
Satan's ambition to be recognized as a deity was thus expressed: "...
I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

14:14, 15 It is for this reason that Lucifer (now Satan) was cast out of heaven, and his campaign for the hearts and minds of intelligent beings is now shifted to planet earth (Rev.
12:12, 13).
Satan's campaign against God through false worship The biblical record of Satan's activities from the beginning of the history of fallen humanity is essentially about the history of paganism.
Paganism has always been the means by which Satan receives homage and we have no reason to believe that his plan has changed.
We can see the accomplishment of his objectives in the worship of Nimrod, and later the religions of Egypt and Assyria.
We can also see the success of his plans in the heathen tradition of Babylon, which continued during the reign of Medo-Persia, Greece, and has found its final resting place in the city of Rome.
Since this old serpent was cast out of heaven he became hell-bent on getting the human family to join him in his warfare against Jehovah.
And you bet he has no intention of discontinuing this time-honored tradition.
After all, that's his only means of receiving homage from humanity.
Did not the bible prophesy that in the last days the world will worship the beast and his image, and worship the dragon (Rev.
13:4, 12, 14, 15)? Satan accomplishes his objectives through lies and deception The practice of lies and deceit has always been Satan's policy priority from the time that he was campaigning for worship in heaven.
It was through lies that he got the support of one-third of the angelic population on his side.
It is by lies that he got Adam and Eve to disobey God.
The disobedience of our fist parents on account of their distrust of God has contributed to a web of lies about God, which has found lodgement in the hearts of men and led to the establishment of Satan's religion (paganism).
Therefore, for Satan to get anybody to believe that his religion is the way to heaven, he will have to tell them something convincing, yet far from the truth.

Just imagine if your favourite mega-church pastor (whoever he is) endorses the new religious order and tell you it's for your eternal good to take that mark in your forehead.
