How is Your Marriage? - The Getting Back Together Article

103 33
Your marriage is at the brink of being broken.
You are drifting further apart each day.
There is no turning back.
The only solution is divorce.
So you hire a divorce lawyer and get divorced.
After some days you realize it was better being together.
But it is already too late.
Many people are late but you should not be.
Before the final breaking point there is always a look back into the past.
A better step would be to go to a marriage counselor.
Yes a marriage counselor.
Though many of my friends are skeptic about going to one with the view that it never helps and is just a waste of money; but I certainly have to contradict the view.
Going to the counselor helps.
At least it is better to spend money for getting back together than to get separated.
So how a counselor can help you in getting back together again?
  • When we have pain in your tooth we go to the dentist, because he is trained to heal that.
Similarly the marriage counselor is trained to help couples reconcile.
  • Friends and relatives may get biased when we have a discussion; but the counselor is never biased.
So he can give you unbiased opinions.
  • Sometimes you or your partner has something in mind which you can't express.
The counselor is trained to bring those thoughts out and put it nicely to the other person.
  • Usually the discussions and arguments reach to a quarrel when we are distressed and heart broken.
The presence of the counselor will help to keep this as a fair discussion.
  • Remember small misunderstandings may lead to big quarrels and break ups.
So to clear this mess up the counselor is the best option, as he hears you both and sees the things you overlooked, thus clearing up the mess.
Tell me now friends is it yet too late for getting back together again?
