How to Make Ceramics Shiny at Home
- 1). Begin your routine with a clean floor surface. Use a soft brush and mild detergent to manually scrub off heavy dirt build up. Rinse with warm water very thoroughly to remove soap residue.
- 2). Use a dust mop to clean dust and debris daily. Leaving dirt on ceramic tiles will cause scratches and dull the surface of the floor. Dust mopping every day will take only a few minutes, prevent build up and ultimately make cleaning easier.
- 3). Use warm water to damp-mop the floor once a week. Add a couple of drops of dish soap to the mop water if the floors are very dirty and rinse with warm water. It is unnecessary to use heavy chemical soaps and degreasers when you perform daily maintenance.
- 4). Use a soft towel or sponge to clean spills and messes as soon as they occur. Clean your pet's paws on rainy or snowy days before they enter the house. Keep a towel handy by the door to make it more convenient. Use a mat by all the entrances to help prevent dirt from being tracked through the house.
