How to Display an Oak Leaf Cluster

104 22
    • 1). Display your oak leaves with fall-colored flowers such as marigolds, chrysanthemums or red roses. Place floral foam or pebbles in the bottom of a tall hurricane vase and to keep each stem in place. Intersperse each spray of leaves evenly with the flowers to create symmetry in the vase, keeping the oak leaves only a few inches above each flower head. Enhance the display by selecting a few of the best oak leaves and scattering them around the base of the vase.

    • 2). Attach small clusters (two or three leaves) to a foam garland circle with a glue gun. Allow each cluster of leaves to overlap with the one before it so that the stems are not visible. Continue gluing leaf clusters until all the foam is covered. Display on a front door or flat on a table as a centerpiece with candles grouped inside.

    • 3). Place long clusters of oak leaves along a fireplace mantle or shelf. Place each cluster overlapping so that the stems are hidden and the end result looks like a long garland. Place candles along the leaves for an extra effect.

    • 4). Choose a tall pumpkin that can sit evenly on its base. Cut a hole in the top and clean it out thoroughly. Securely place a glass jar within the pumpkin so that it is hidden and fill the jar three quarters of the way with water. Select long, colorful clusters of oak leaves and place them within the jar in the pumpkin until the opening is concealed. Replace the water as necessary.
