How to Separate the Side and Upper Fairings from a 2004-2007 Honda CBR1000RR
- 1). Remove the plastic trim rivets from the underside of your CBR's upper fairing and the inner fairing panels from both sides of the front wheel. Push the center of the rivets inward with the tip of a screwdriver, then pull the rivets out of the fairing.
- 2). Unscrew the bolt securing the air ducts to the bottom corners of the upper fairing, using a 4 mm Allen wrench. Pull the air ducts away from the upper fairing to access the side fairings' upper mounting bolts.
- 3). Unscrew the mounting bolts attaching the side fairings to the upper and lower fairings, using a 4 mm Allen wrench. Pull the side fairings away from your CBR's frame.
- 4). Unplug the side fairings' turn signals from your CBR's wiring harness.
- 1). Remove the plastic trim rivets from the top of your CBR's side fairings. Push the center of the rivets inward with the tip of a screwdriver, then pull the rivets out of the fairing.
- 2). Remove the plastic trim rivets from the inner fairing panels located on the underside of the front fairing.
- 3). Unscrew the mounting bolts securing the side fairings to the upper and lower fairings, using a 4 mm Allen wrench.
- 4). Pull the side fairings away from your CBR's frame, then pull the fairings toward the rear of the motorcycle until the tabs on the front of the side fairings are released from the slots on the bottom of the upper fairing.
- 5). Unplug the side fairings' turn signals from your CBR's wiring harness.
