How to Remove a Plastic Bumper
- 1). Loosen the lug nuts on the side of the vehicle that you are removing the bumper with the lug wrench. Raise the frame off the ground, and support it on jack stands. Remove the lug nuts, and pull the wheels off the frame.
- 2). Remove the screws or bolts securing the wheel-well cover to the frame, and pull the cover off. Remove the bolts or screws that secure the bump to the frame inside the wheel-well cover.
- 3). Slide under the bumper, and remove the bolts or screws along the upper edge of the bumper. Some plastic bumper bolts and screws may be on the lower side of the radiator.
- 4). Pull the bumper off the frame. Store the bumper in a clean, dry place until installation.
