How to Hook Up a Tuner Amplifier
- 1). Connect RCA-type audio cables to the pairs of "Audio In" jacks on the back of the tuner amplifier, using the white plug for the left audio connection and the red plug for the right.
- 2). Connect the plugs on the other end of the cables to the "Audio Out" jacks on stereo components, such as a CD player. Take care to match the labeled jacks on the tuner amplifier with the correct components.
- 3). Strip 1/2-inch insulation from the speaker wires and attach to the terminals on the back of the tuner amp. The red wire connects to the right speaker terminal and the other wire connects to the left. The wires attach by lifting the spring-loaded clips on the back of the amp to reveal a hole for inserting each wire.
- 4). Connect the other ends of the wires to the corresponding speakers. For example, the wire from the left speaker connection on the amp must be connected to the left stereo speaker.
- 5). Plug the electrical cables into a power strip. Connect the power strip to a wall outlet.
