How to Clean the Stone for a Char-Broil Grill
- 1). Scrape off any food particles stuck to the stone, using the edge of a wooden or nylon spatula immediately after removing hot food from the stone surface. Do not use metal, which can scratch the surface of your cooking stone.
- 2). Wipe both sides of the cooled stone with a clean cloth dipped in warm water only.
- 3). Bake the stone in an oven for an hour at 500 degrees Fahrenheit if burnt food is still stuck to the surface.
- 4). Hold the stone with a hot mitt while scraping the surface with a spatula in your free hand to remove any remaining food.
