How to Restore Plexiglass
- 1). Sand the Plexiglass with multiple grits of sandpaper, starting with 150-grit paper, followed by finer 400-grit and 600-grit paper. The sandpaper will remove any scratches and residue on the surface.
- 2). Apply a Plexiglass buffing compound to the surface with a buffing wheel, gently rotating the wheel on a low setting to work the compound into the surface. If you do not have access to a buffing wheel, use a soft cloth. The buffing compound will help restore clarity and shine to the Plexiglass.
- 3). Wipe away any excess compound with a clean, soft cloth.
- 4). Allow the compound to completely set and dry before returning the Plexiglass to use.
