How to Get Crayons Off of Paint on the Wall
- 1). Rub any loose crayon off the painted wall with a soft rag. Alternately, wrap a spatula in a soft rag and use it to remove the loose crayon.
- 2). Spray a car part lubricant onto the remaining crayon and wipe the crayon away with the soft rag. For walls painted with high gloss paint, dab the walls instead of rubbing so you don't dull the surface.
- 3). Wash the wall area with the soft rag wrung out with soapy dish detergent water. Rinse the walls with a wet, but clean, rag. Again, if it is high gloss paint, dab instead of rub.
- 4). Examine the wall. If the crayon marks remain, wipe them off with a damp rag dipped in baking soda or a dry rag dabbed with a bit lighter fluid or mayonnaise. Wash the walls down with soapy dish detergent when finished and rinse.
