How do I Eliminate Skunk Smell From a Pot?
- 1). Scrub the pot out with dish soap and hot water.
- 2). Fill the pot with white vinegar and allow it to sit overnight. White vinegar is a natural deodorizer and the vinegar scent dissipates quickly once the pot is emptied. If the pot still has a strong skunk odor, refill it with vinegar and put the pot on the stove to boil. Allow it to boil for at least 10 minutes before emptying it.
- 3). Pour a can of tomato juice into the pot and scrub it into the sides. Allow it to sit for several hours and then wash the pot again in soap, baking soda and warm water before rinsing and drying it.
