How to Remove Mold From Baseboard Wood
- 1). Put your face mask to keep from inhaling mold spores. Vacuum the baseboards using the attachments. A vacuum with a HEPA filter is designed to remove fine particles from the air, minimizing air born mold spores.
- 2). Combine 2 tsp. of dish detergent with 2 cups of hot water in your bucket. Mix well. Put on your gloves and dip the sponge in the detergent solution. Scrub the baseboards with the sponge until the mold is gone. Fill the second bucket with hot water, and wet a clean cloth or sponge. Rinse the baseboards with the cloth or sponge.
- 3). Mix 8 tbsp. of trisodium phosphate with 1 gallon of hot water. Wet a clean cloth or sponge in the solution, and scrub the affected baseboards. Wet a clean cloth or sponge with hot water, and wipe down the baseboards to remove traces of the trisodium phosphate.
