How to Clean a Spot on a Leather Seat
- 1). Slightly dampen a cloth and place a bit of moisturizing soap on it. Run the cloth on the stain without getting the leather too wet. Clean the soap away with a second damp cloth. Dry the area with a dry towel. Treat the spot area with leather conditioner.
- 2). Mix together a solution of 1 cup of rubbing alcohol with 1 cup of water. Wet a cloth with this mixture and place it on a mildew stain. Rub the mixture into the stain and let air dry.
- 3). Spray an ink stain with hairspray and let it dry for a few minutes. Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
- 4). Blot a grease stain to remove any excess grease. Place cornstarch over the area to draw the grease up out of the leather. Let the cornstarch sit for four hours and then wipe away with a cloth.
